A senior surgeon has defended the consultant at the centre of the spinal surgery crisis at Temple Street Children’s Hospital, saying he was performing a “huge volume” of highly complex procedures with inadequate resources.
He said the Oireachtas Health Committee would ask questions in an effort to find out what happened at Temple Street Hospital and CHI.
The child has been brought to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin for treatment following the crash in Tipperary Town yesterday.
